Darren Shepherd has spent more than three and a half decades working in the mortgage industry, as both an adviser and a broker, helping thousands of people navigate what is, for most, the biggest financial decision of their lives. Over the years, he built a deep understanding of how mortgages work, what lenders look for, and, crucially, why so many people get confused, misled, or left feeling out of their depth.

The jargon. The complexity. The way the system isn't always explained clearly. Darren saw it every day. And he always believed it didn't have to be that way.

For years, Darren's expertise stayed largely within the walls of face-to-face meetings and broker offices. But everything changed when his son Kai, a major social media creator who has built his own substantial online following, encouraged Darren to share his knowledge on TikTok and YouTube.
