Why this site exists.
After 35+ years in mortgages, as an adviser, broker, and educator, I'd watched too many first-time buyers stumble through a process nobody had bothered to explain properly. They'd come in stressed, with half-truths from estate agents and Google searches that didn't quite add up.
When my son Kai pushed me to start sharing what I knew on TikTok, one video hit 591,000 views in 48 hours. The messages didn't stop. And it became obvious, people are desperate for someone to explain this stuff in plain English, without trying to sell them anything.
So that's what Darren Talks is. A free, no-pressure resource. Answers to the questions you're asking, and the ones you don't know you should be asking. If you ever want to speak to a real person, my wife Debbie at DS Financial is brilliant. But that's entirely up to you. The point of this site is that you don't have to.
